The Royal Elizabeth Hotel was completed in early 1954. It was situated in Nassau, fronting the harbour. Decorated in a British Colonial style, it provided 41 rooms with bath facilities, a coffee shop (serving breakfast), a cocktail bar, and a private swimming pool with sun deck and terrace.
