Bahamas Philately: Royal Victoria Beach Club

The Royal Victoria Beach Club was a private beach club on Rose Island and was a subsidiary of the Royal Victoria Hotel. The location was chosen as the closest approach to the south seas in the Western Hemisphere.

In 1946, the Royal Victoria began providing motorboat day trips to Rose Island where they provided daily picnics and weekend parties. By 1950, the island also provided accommodation.
