The Silver Sands Hotel opened in 1971 and was located in Freeport, Grand Bahama. It was a 144 room luxury apartment hotel. It was air-conditioned with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms and a private balconies, and wall-to-wall carpeting.
In 1975, the hotel was purchased for $1.5m by Iverugie Investments Ltd.
