Bahamas Philately: Thompson’s Yachtel

Thompson’s Yachtel was located between Green Turtle Cay and the waters of Black Sound. It was touted as Abaco‘s first resort. The proprietors were Maurice and Carmen Thompson. With several cottages, it provided 8 rooms for accommodation. It also had a clubhouse which provided food.

In 1957, it was operated by Bert Roberts who had created the picturesque Sandy Point Fishing Camp.
