Caledonian Philatelic Society: South Georgia Postal History – the First 100 Years

The Caledonian Philatelic Society and Hugh Osborne shows mail to and from South Georgia including items dating from before the establishment of a Post Office on the island, early mail and bisects and overprints due to shortages, whaling mail, censored mail from WW1 and WW2, expedition mail and concluding with Operation Tabarin and the first South Georgia stamps (Dependencies’ overprints) in 1944.
