  1. Unfortunately the information in this video is incorrect. This stamp was emitted on 1946 February 5, which is Period 7 of the Second Hungarian Inflation period. With this stamp one could send one local letter of 250 grams or one national letter or 20 grams, until 1st or March. One stamp one letter, not worthless at all at the issue date. Back then with 1 USD one could get around 275 of these stamps.
    Commercialization of this stamp ceased on June 30 same year, when for a local letter of 250 grams one needed to pay 400 million pengö. So yes, totally worthless as all inflation era stamp at the end of its circulation period, but a valid “normal” valued stamp when emitted. And I assume the 50.000 million for 1 penny is at the end of its run, not at the issue date.
