Introvert’s Lair: Sierra Leone Postage Stamps of 1933

Join Introvert’s Lair for a look at the stamps of Sierra Leone that were issued in 1933. The series included thirteen pieces. These stamps became the first memorable stamps in the country.

This issue is dedicated to William Wilberforce. He was a British politician. The Tory representative. All his life he fought against the slave trade and the abolition of slavery. It was thanks to his speech in the House of Commons on May 12, 1789 that the politician became known and talked about. The main message of that speech was the ban on human trafficking.
