The stamps of this series were based on the Nyasaland 1963 Definitive Series. The original artwork had transparent overlays bearing the name ‘Malawi,’ enabling new cylinders to be prepared for printing as and when required. The artwork was approved by Colin Cameron (Federal) Minister of Transport and Communication in August 1963.
