Philatelic Society of Lancaster County: 1928 Fourth Bureaus on Special Booklet Paper

Robert Rufe, President of the Brandywine Valley Stamp Club, discusses his many years of research on the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s use of leftover booklet paper to print eleven flat plate stamps in 1928.

These varieties are now listed in the Scott’s Specialized Catalogue of U.S. Stamps and Covers (2020) along with Bob’s invited catalogue chapter on the research and means of detecting these items.
