Zambia Philately: 1968 United Nations Day

The General Post Office of Zambia announces the issue of three postage stamps to commemorate United Nations Day 1968. The first day of issue will be 23rd October and the stamps will be on sale on this date at Post Offices and Postal Agencies in Zambia. The following three special activities of the United Nations Organisations have selected in view of Zambia’s participation.

A specially designed First Day Cover was available at all Post Offices at 10n each. In addition the Stamp Bureau will made up First Day Covers, bearing the three stamps, at a cost of 50n each, which included the envelope, stamps and service charge.
