Zambia Philately: Zambesi Emperor (Nudaurelia Zambesina)

The Zambesi Emperor (Nudaurelia Zambesina) is a genus of moths in the family Saturniidae first described by Rothschild in 1895. This is one of the largest African Saturnid species. This family of moths has been named after the planet Saturn because, like the planet, the spots on the wings have rings round them.
