Art Flooring Co. (Pvt) Ltd was located in Workington. The office was located on the corner of Portland Road and Darwin Road, with the store and factory on Portland Road. The company was a flooring specialist business that owned a parquet factory and were the sole distribtuors of B.W. Swiss parquet flooring.
It was established in 1959 by the Swiss brothers Kurt and Paul Meyer. In 1963, Kurt returned to Switzerland. Paul, a successful businessman, continued to run the business.
