Bahamas Philately: 1971 Definitive Series

The subjects for this definitive series was suggested by Henry Atholl Simpson, Head Postal Training Advisor who was on loan from the London G.P.O.

The designs were carried out by local artist Elyse Wasile (1920-2013). Wasile was an American artist who spent some 25 years in Nassau, where she painted Bahamian scenes.
