British Overseas Airway Corporation: 1965 First Flight – Vickers Super VC10

On 1 April 1965 the British Overseas Airway Corporation (BOAC) operated the first Vickers Super VC10 service between London and New York. On 30th April, the Super VC-10 began flying the New York to Nassau and Nassau-Jamaica routes three times weekly.

92 covers were postmarked at Nassau for the Nassau-New York first flight on 30 April 1965.

  1. xcellent. I did a series in aircraft on stamps recently on the VC 10. Do have a look I hope you enjoy it. Some good BOAC images of course.
