Our current definitive stamp series features Australians’ sporting involvement. Stamp illustrations capture Australians participating in sports at grass-roots level – for sheer enjoyment rather than for international accolades.

Active, fun sports are featured: Kayaking and Canoeing, Sailboarding, Tennis, Rock-climbing, and Fun Running. Also a part of the series is the 41c “Cycling” stamp, issued in August 1989 at the time of the last rate increase.
