While thirty of the Bahama Islands are inhabitated and about half of these provide some tourist facilities, most of the activity is concentrated on eight principal Out Islands. If you crave the easygoing, unhurried pace of the open spaces, the Out Islands are for you. However, you won’t have to rough it unless you so choose. Today, you’ll find scores of smart new holiday retreats with gold courses, yacht marinas and angling clubs, as well as sleepy little hamlets and isolated beaches.
